Jeffrey Roberts and his father, Barry Roberts, work together to provide business owners, management, and other stakeholders with outstanding business general counsel, estate planning, and trustee services. Past and current clients include large closely-held companies, publically traded multinational companies, major national trade associations, and highly successful professionals, in addition to numerous small businesses and their owners. After heading a successful corporate counsel and business litigation practice based in Washington D.C. and Maryland, which included significant litigation and transactional work in Federal Regulatory Law and Government Contracts, Barry relocated to Palm Beach County, Florida. After graduating law school in 2009, Jeffrey went to work with his father, focused primarily on business counsel and litigation. As part of the relationships he developed in his General Counsel business practice, he was asked increasingly to address inheritance, business succession, wealth preservation, and tax efficiency. Jeffrey has drafted numerous complex trust and estate planning documents, largely for business owners and their families, and served as trustee for assets totaling over $250 million in value. Jeffrey has spent significant effort developing an extensive network that has been thoroughly vetted for professionalism, creativity, and deep knowledge in their respective fields, in diverse fields ranging from international tax planning to property and portfolio management.
Jeffrey received his B.A. in economics from Tufts University and received his J.D. from Florida international University College of Law. Between University and Law School, he lived in the Old City of Jerusalem and received Rabbinic Ordination while creating and operating an online women's clothing business, designing and manufacturing clothing in China and India, and selling to customers worldwide. After graduating law school in 2009, he began his practice focusing on corporate litigation, trademark law, and business contracts. As his relationship with clients grew, his practice shifted to include business strategy, corporate policy and management, wealth preservation, estate planning, and trust administration. Jeffrey is admitted to practice law in Florida and Washington, D.C. and lives in Boca Raton, Florida.
Barry received his B.A. from North Park University and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. He started his career as a litigation attorney for the Interstate Commerce Commission. He moved on to private practice, representing publicly and privately held businesses in diverse industries such as agriculture, transportation, and travel. Over the course of his career he has been partner in several national firms and has headed his own firm, Roberts Attorney, P.A. in Washington D.C. and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. His trust and estates practice has included complex estate planning, creation and administration of charitable trusts, special needs trusts, more typical estate planning vehicles, as well as Florida trust litigation. Barry has for years served the Locksmith and Security Hardware Industries and is the author of "The Locksmith Legal Handbook". Barry is a life long sailor and has cruised extensively in the Chesapeake Bay, New England, the Bahamas and Caribbean. He is admitted to practice law in Florida, Maryland, and Washington D.C., and and lives in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
